The automotive industry continues to create a variety of features to enhance the comfort and safety of the rider.

While driving a car on a highway or long motorway for hours, so maybe the legs will feel sore or stiff due to having to press the gas pedal continuously.
To prevent this problem, modern cars have been equipped with a technology known as 'cruise control'.

What was Cruise Control?
Cruise control is a technology that gives the driver the freedom of driving a car at a steady pace, without legs must continue to press the gas pedal.
This technology is also referred to as 'speed control', 'autocruise' and various other names depending on the car manufacturer.
When the driver wants the car moving at a constant speed, he had to run the car at the speed he wants to then activate the cruise control function.
This system can be controlled by a button. After the cruise control is activated, the driver does not need to press the gas pedal with his foot.
Cruise control generally can not be activated when the vehicle speed is below 40 km / h.

Whenever Cruise Control Not Allow Used?
Cruise control must not be used on roads with many bends, climbs, and derivatives.

Whenever Cruise Control Not Allow Used?
Cruise control must not be used on roads with many bends, climbs, and turunan.Jalan with the typical needs a lot of braking that will disable the cruise control system.
In other words, the cruise control is not suitable for use in dense urban vehicle even a lot of congestion.
In countries with four seasons, cruise control should not be activated when the snowy streets as risky car slip and lose traction.
It must be remembered that the use of this system is not right it could endanger the safety.

Advanced Cruise Control System
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) which is also referred to as the Autonomous Cruise Control system, using advanced technology to operate braking and acceleration control automatically.
This system mainly uses laser or radar that can detect the distance to the vehicle ahead and prepare braking when the distance is too close or increase the speed at a safe distance.
Car manufacturers have different names to refer to this technology.

Here are some of them:
Distronic Plus - Mercedes-Benz
Active Cruise Control - BMW
Smart Cruise Control - Hyundai
Intelligent Cruise Control - Nissan
Dynamic Radar Cruise Control - Lexus

Cruise control is just one of the technologies used in modern cars. There are other safety technologies that work in tandem with cruise control.

Using this system properly will improve ride comfort and reduce fuel consumption.
Most of the top-end cars and SUVs already have cruise control as standard features.
