A total of 7 finalists compete for the title of European Car of the Year 2014 in December last year. Seven vehicles were selected from 30 eligible new cars, they are the BMW i3, the Citroen C4 Picasso, Mazda3, Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Peugeot 308, Skoda Octavia and the Tesla Model S. Of the seven vehicles one of which was named the European Car of the Year 2014 the Peugeot 308. Official announcement will be made when the Geneva Motor Show 2014.
By achieved European Car of the Year 2014, it means Peugeot 308 Peugeot to be the product of four who has been bearing the same title as the Peugeot 307 in 2002, the Peugeot 405 and Peugeot 504 1988 1969. Produced in Sochaux, France, New Peugeot 308 launched in Europe in 2013.
More than 55,000 units already reserved New Peugeot 308 since launch, and Peugeot says that the C segment vehicle's five-door hatchback will contribute to the upscale car brand. Since the initial launch, the New Peugeot 308 is a rival of the VW Golf Mk7.
